I’m at the airport in Phoenix, Arizona, and it occurred to me that I never wrote a blog in celebration of the new year. I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy something that involved either friends or family, or both, and with bubbles! Whether it was an expensive Champagne, an extra value Cava, or an American sparkling wine, I hope it was all done in style! Sabre-ing involved? I hope so! So now, on the day of Epiphany, I hope 2014 will be an incredible year. I know I’m looking forward to what lies ahead.
Not only is Epiphany a celebration in which we recognize the arrival of the Magi to visit Jesus, but I also love the definition of “an intuitive grasp of reality through something (as an event), usually simple and striking”. How about this one: “an illuminating discovery, realization or disclosure”. And finally, “a revealing scene or moment”.
You could also treat any one these definitions as goals, or heaven forbid, as resolutions! Gasp! All this jibber jabber to say, here’s to a year full of incredible wines – in both the tasting and the discovery. Whites, reds, roses, bubbles, dessert, Ports, Sherry…whatever you fancy, taste and discover it all! And I’m getting ready to write more, read some incredible blog content, and of course…..taste more!
Cheers!
