The required textbook is:
Italian Wine Unplugged Grape by Grape. Positive Press, 2017 by Stevie Kim, Geralyn Brostrom, Lingzi He, Michele Longo, Michaela Morris, and JC Viens. (You can purchase this on Amazon.ca for about $46, or a Kindle version is also available for around $25)
Price for the classes includes: VIA Maestro exam, wine, Professional instruction and study materials. Upon successful registration of the course, you will receive the syllabus that will outline your learning expectations.
**The fine print: If classes are cancelled due to low enrollment, your payment will be refunded in full. Students who cancel anytime within the first ten days of enrollment will be refunded in full. Students who cancel after ten days will forfeit their fee but will be allowed to transfer to a future VIA Italian Wine Maestro class.
**More fine print: As a professional, you are required to act in a such a manner that is respectful and represents the nature of your business. As such, the above program involves the tasting of wine. You are expected to spit and the consumption of alcohol is prohibited. You need to be fully aware of the dangers of consuming alcohol, particularly the dangers of drinking and driving, and accept full responsibility in the event that your actions are affected by any alcohol that may have been consumed.
